The big event of the year was the selection of Jack Upshaw to serve as page in the United States Senateg Jack left January Z9 and became the first Montanan in forty years to fill the position. Senator Jack will spend the first semester of his senior year here, but will return to Washington in January, 1956 to work for the 84th Congress. Neil Opprecht was chosen to replace Jack, who had been elected Prom Chairman, and .Timmy Ross was delegated to take .Tack's place on the Student Council. Marilyn Dickson placed first in the Chinook American Legion Oratorical Contest, as well as being chosen to attend this year-'s Girls' State.
