Student Council Officers President: Jim Dickson Vice President: Alice Tilleman Secretary: Mina MacKay Treasurer: Edna Willey The Student Council of 1952-1953 held its meetings on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month, under the leadership of Mr. Prestbo. The following achievements were made during the year: A delegate was sent to Oregon to attend the National Association of Student Councils with all expenses paid by the Council. Rules and regulations for all High School dances were drawn up and put into effect by the Student Council. They were: (1) There should be no drinking or smoking in the dance hall. (2) Parents and teachers are welcome to attend all school dances. (3) Dances put on by school clubs will not last longer than three hours or not later than 12:30 A. M. Dances on Saturday night must end at 12:00. (4) School is not responsible for students after and during the school dances. (5) Please indicate on dance poster whether it is a school dance or not. The Student Police was also reactivated this year and pins were given out for their merit of service to the Student Council. Three movies were given to the student body and one dance. Honor Society Each year students are chosen to membership in the National Honor Society, for their outstanding work in scholarship and school activities. Those chosen last year were Charlie Cowan, Ellen Haugen, Alice Tilleman. Seniors chosen for the school year of 1952-53 were James Dickson, Ted Clikeman, Keith Opprecht. Mina MacKay. Richard Scheck, Beverly Hoehn, Nellbyrt Ambrose and Alvin Fox. David Crockett. Elaine Stirland and Terry Flynn were selected from the junior class as members of the National Honor Society.
