LIGHTWEIGHT FOOTBALL Fifty-six fellows reported to Coach 'Wayne Hauser for light- weight football in the fall of l944. Even after the group was split to form a C weight football team and those who discovered that football was not to their liking dropped out, the lightweight aggre- gation was still a large one. Bay Krause, a senior, led the fighting X weights as captain through their season of five garnes. Chino won three out of the five, and scores ran like this: Chino O, California lunior Republic 65 Chino l2, Bonita Og Chino B, Emerson Og Chino O, Corona l9, C FOOTBALL Twenty-seven fellows reported to Coach Paul Mickey for C weight football last fall. Too light for the lightweight and Varsity teams, these boys were still determined to play football, and they kept at it through a tough season. C. B.
