Editor Editor News, gossip, sports, editorials, features! This year's Lariat has furnished us with all these essentials. Not only has it served the school itself, but it has been a public relations agent for the school, serving both school and community. One of the highlights of the year for the staff was the privilege of attending Newspaper Day at the University of Southern California, where the Lariat was entered in corn- petion with the papers of other Southern California schools. The Chino high school print shop, under the direction of Mr. Carrol lohnson, has been a great asset in putting out a good school paper. The students of print get practical experience in setting up and printing the Lariat. This experience is valuable to the many who find employment in newspaper print shops after graduation. This year has been a star year tor the organization, it has done more to arouse enthusiasm in school lite than in any other year. It brought to the girls a new sense ot comradeship and fun, new opportunities to make friends, and chances to learn new things. The fine work could not have been done, however, without the untiring work of these capable leaders, Mrs. Toste, adviser: Frances Pickering, president, Marcia McConnell, vice-president, Arline Summers, secretaryg Edith Moore, treasurer, Barbara Meairs, social chairmang and Patty I-lodson, Mary Louise Hood, and Betty Mae Herod, class representatives.
