350 Attend CHS Open House An estimated 350 people attended the Chinle High School Open House November 16. Donations from high school teachers and the principal's fund provided burritos and salad. The JROTC color guard and drill team performed exercises under the supervision of instructors Tony Salandro, Frank Boyd, and Jack Wallman. Parents then dispersed to meet 4 with teachers in the classrooms. Student work was displayed in the cafeteria. Displays included paintings from the art classes and Special Ed. There were also hair setting displays from cosmetology, Homecoming pictures from the photography class, and research papers, news stories, and summaries from the English classes. Members of the open house committee were Lani Hothan, Don Nelson, Sharon Harrell, Laura Saline, and Don Johnston S Esther Gilmore and Dahlia James view paintings from the art classes and Special Education.
