You have reached another plateau in your journey through life. Graduation from high school is a high point in your life. You have completed a highly successful and enjoyable high school career. However, it only marks the end of one chap- ter in the book of life. The next chapter has not been writ- ten. What does the future hold? You will experience much in your lifetime. There will be times filled with success and happiness, as well as, failure and tragedy. Your journey e of the “N en a delight t ig associated will not always be smooth and straight. There will be obsta- cles to overcome and detours to slow your journey. I, Denise Bunting, being of sound mind and tall body, do hereby will to my brother Chris, my ability to keep the bas- ketball court clean during practice and games, provided he hits every spot and brings home the bruises as proof. I, Audrey Byrd, being of unpredictable mind and typical body, do hereby leave to Toni Clark, Renee Hursh, and Mary McIntosh my ability to play basketball (for what it’s worth). To the class of “80 my best wishes and good luck. And last but not least, to Bobby Tull, all my love, because he'll have it forever. I, Janice Carey, being of lazy mind and sound body, do hereby leave 1) to Tammy Williams and Jeff Carey, my ability to always be on time because they need it; 2) to Kim Williams, my best wishes and good luck at CHS. I, Nathan Clark, being of obese body and slightly warped mind, do hereby leave to Wyle Maddox my ability to not flip Jeeps, providing you don’t flip any more than I did. To the upcoming students at CHS, I leave my ability to cut-up in class without getting caught, and last, to my old class of °80, my ability to gradu- ate. I, Pamela Gray, being of sound mind and thin body, do hereby bequeath my good Gov’t grades to any deserving Junior, my ability to get through 6 years of high school without any trouble to my “‘little sister,” Beth Everette, and my deepest gratitude and thanks to all my past teachers. Shilly 34 SENIOR PROPHECY Well, here it is 1989, 10 years have gone past, and they sure went a flying. Here comes my classmates one-by-one. Ill introduce them and the past things they've done. Also the present, and not to forget, the good things they ve done since last we all met. Denise Bunting, our class instructor, now has her own orchestra and she’s the conductor. David Lewis, who-married Kaye, has 2 kids already, with one on the way. Jackie Handy, who was so smart, went to New York to get her start. Belinda Howard, so short and cute, is still married to Buddy, with 3 kids to boot. Braddock Harmon, now he’s no bum, he earns a living playing a drum. George and Linda, voted most romantic, have the largest family this side of the Atlantic. Aaron Bernstein, so tall and limp, now works inflating the Goodyear Blimp. Sylvia Clark, our Miss CHS, is now a model and one of the best. John Tarr, our bridge building companion, is now building a bridge across the Grand Canyon. Sharon Floyd, always a striver, went to the Grand Prix as the first woman driver. Bobbie Jean Bowden, our dancing miss, opened a disco, it’s called “A New Twist”. Brenda Bunting, who still isn’t married, went to Goldey Beacom and became a secretary. Kathy and Arthur, who were teenage hits, it’s 10 years later — and now they’re “The Pitts”. Bernard Lankford, he went pretty far, he joined “Chicago” — he plays the guitar. Robin Carpenter, who couldn’t figure out an occupation, said she'd try, while she took a vacation. Charles Smith, who could draw so funny, ended up in the State Pen for drawing money. Audrey Byrd, our class lawyer, we'd like to report, became a judge in the United States Supreme Court. Timmy Tarr, who likes to act goofy, his favorite phrase is still, “Offy-Doofy”’. Mark Matthews, who didn’t like school, went in the Coast Guard — he thinks its cool. Donnie Thornton, who has danced so long, went on The Gong Show — he got Gonged. Janice Carey, who married Duane, has 4 kids and has moved to Maine. Robin Allen, we all know her, Cloyd Jester, who drives a Torino, Took fashion merchandising . . . Sax’s Fifth Avenue is joined the Sweathogs — he replaced Barbarino. now her employer. Gloria Lankford, as quiet as a mouse, Amos Miller, who has a deep voice, after she left college, she set up house. has invented a dog food to compete with Top Choice. Nathan Clark, with the cute little dimples, Beverly Boezkowski, who joined the Marines, now makes a medicine for acne pimples. now is a captain and pilots submarines. Shelly Mason, he did not fall, Henrick Townsend, so slim and tall, surprised us all and bought George Hall’s. now owns a sporting goods store in the Salisbury Mall. Curtis Merritt, now what can we say, Tammy Thomas, you just have to hear, married Penny and is happy all day. she’s been proclaimed “Woman of the Year’’. Charles Kilmon, who slept behind each teacher's back, Penny White, we’re so proud we could burst, now teaches class for the insomniac. went to Nassawadox and became a nurse. Kerry Bowden, who never was meek, went to Arabia and became “Shiek Freak”’. Susan Howard, who became a teacher, well, 5 years ago, she married a preacher. Steve Reed, the happiest in class, joined the Army and is now among top brass. Lillie Fosque, who had us ina whirl, now is a stewardess and flies around the world. Herbie Haugh, now what can we say, he’s moved to New York to dance the ballet. Vernon Merritt, you just can’t compare’em moved to Arabia — he’s started a harem. Eddie Thornton, our ship welding fanatic, did you know he’s building a second “Titanic?” Sherry Francis, so quiet and shy, she got married and to just the right guy. That’s all of my friends, and that leaves me — the one who wrote this prophecy. They've all done well, as well as could be Dean Fisher, a real nice guy, now it’s for me to tell what became of me. now is a pilot and flys in the sky. Some said I should marry, some said I shouldn’t, but I did the former — and quit marriage I wouldn’t. Sam Clark, our Missless Emcee, now hosts Miss America pageants on T.V.
