“CLASS WILL We, the Class of 1951, in the town of Chincoteague , the county of Accomac, and the state of Virginia, being in as good mental condition as usual, and in much better temper than usual, do hereby make this, our last will and testa¬ ment, rendering void and of no avail any former will or wills that may have been previously made by us during a period of temporary optimism. We feel that our brilliant record and our unusual achievements will live after us, but, not wishing to take any chances, we suggest that a tablet, on which shall be inscribed our several names and a few of our most astounding deeds, be purchased and placed in the auditorium of the school in a position where it will strike the eye of all who enter. I, Janice Jones, will to Ann Hooks my inability to make decisions, provid¬ ed she always makes a true one. I, Betty Byrd Hall, will to Connie D. Reed my brilliant orange sweater provided she will, while wearing it, guide the Junior Class through the com¬ ing year. I, Kaye Hill, will to Mrs. Conklin Ishie Ushie and Danny Boy, providing she will treat them with great kindness. I, Connie Whealton, will to Yvonne Hill my little maroon Ford , providing she will go parking every night. I, Avis Beebe, will to Eula Mae Taylor my majorette boots and baton, pro¬ viding she has the best time of her life leading the band in the future. I, Marlene Taylor, will to Nancy Blake my long fingernails, providing they do not exceed two inches. I, Patsy Derrickson, will my ability to heave a basketball down the court to Barbara Birch, provided she doesn't sweep anyone off their feet. I, Peggy Tarr, will my valuable sense of humor to Carrie Jane Holston in hopes it will do much to make the coming years endurable for her. I, Mary Hancock, will to Shirley Walker my personality, providing she doesn't win too many friends. I, Rex Bell, will my slow wink and whistles to Floyd Breasure, if he can get as much use out of them as I havel I, Raymond (Tootler) Horner, will my ability for making dumb remarks to Richard Jester, provided it causes him to go to the office five times a week. I, Mitchell Howard, will my promptness to come to school every day on time to Thomas Conklin. Do as well as I have done! I, Donald Riley, will my ability to smoke cigars to Keith Merritt, provid¬ ing he smokes them in a hopped-up-Chevrolet , going to Franklin City. I, Ernest Jones, will to Peter Cathell my secret ability to play baseball, provided he wins every game next year. I, Herbert Jester, will to Bob Birch my brown eyes, provided one lid drops slowly as a good-looking blonde passes by! I, Warren Watson, will my guitar to Eleanor Lou Bowden, providing she will learn to play, so she will have something to keep her busy while I'm visiting with Uncle Sam. I, Frank Watson, will all my hillbilly songs to Nina Bowden, providing she will always remember me when she hears them.
