Philip Mauldin took office m the Student Council again, but this time as Vice-President. The Christmas Play, The Star in The East, was a great success. Then the long awaited event, the Junior- Senior Banquet, took place. tfhat fun it was as our theme Moonlight and Roses be¬ came a reality. 4 s the class of 54 went to find success they chose as marshalls, Nancy Morrison, Larry Patterson, Claudette Overcash, i l iley Drye and Winfry thicker. Larry Patterson did a splendid job as president of our class. MAX ELBERT MENIUS Women’s looks were my only books, and folly was all they taught me. TOMMY RAY MENIUS All great men are either dear or dy¬ ing. I don’t feel so well myself. DONALD THOMAS MOORE What good I see, humbly I seek to do. Seniors DOROTHY JENNINGS Sweet Silence is an endurable trait. FRANKLIN DELMAR JOHNSON Another lady’s man. VELMA KAY MARTIN Leave silence to the saints, I am but human. CAROLYN HARRIS JOHNSON Who so findeth a wife findeth a good thing. Then came the year we were Juniors. Quite a time we had and quite a bit of work we did. To start things moving swiftly was the magazine sale. Our class, though we had dwindled m number to seven¬ ty-four, reached our goal with Doris Stiller and Morris Overcash as high sales¬ men. Immediately after this we received our class rings, something we all had looked forward to. The Fall Festival came and went over with flying colors, but we had the honor of having our own Larry Patterson as Halloween King. DORIS LOUISE KARRIKER Life is not life at all without delight.
