Treasurer Dear Diary, May, 2955 As I look back to August 2 9 , 2952 , I recall a large group of bewildered, mixed- up freshmen. There was, unbe l levmgly, now a hundred twenty of us. The upper class- men and our advisors, Miss Holt, Mrs. Kepley, Mr. Deal, and Coach Kelly, were of such assistance that in no time we became adjusted to the methods of high school. Me did little that year besides study, but I ' m sure not one of us will forget that memorable game with Landis in football when we tied 7 - 7 . Then came our sophomore year of 52 - 53 . Quite a few of our members moved or decid¬ ed to discontinue their schooling for we entered with only eighty-four members. Mi ley Drye, our freshman president, was replaced by Minfry Mhicker. Doris Stiller, Peggy Jo Sasser, Janet McCluney and Helen Frye added to the prestige of our class when they were chosen to represent the school band as letter girls and flag bear¬ ers. The student council was begun this year with Philip Mauldin representing our class as treasurer. Page Twenty
