We, the class of 1970. dedicate this Tigerette to Mr, Michael Fitzpatrick. He has encouraged our student body toward greater participation in school activities, thereby boosting our school spirit. His dedication to Chilton High is illustrated in his willingness to assist in many extra curricular activities. He was assistant football coach and coach of our first wrestling team this year. Mr. Fitzpatrick was born in Milwaukee and graduated from Lomira High School. He attended St. Norbert’s College for one year and spent his next years at WSU-Oshkosh where he earned his B.S. degree. Four years ago he came to Chilton High School. In 1967-68, he obtained a leave-of-absence and acquired his Master’s degree. Besides teaching Senior Math, Algebra II, and Intermediate Math, Mr. Fitzpatrick has participated actively in the Chilton Education Association, and was recently elected its president. It is our sincerest hope that Mr. Fitzpatrick will remain at Chilton High and continue to be an inspiration to his students. 2

Dear Students, Another school year is coming to a close: an eventful year in which man conquered space and set foot on the surface of the moon and a year in which a CHS football team conquered all its opponents and went through a season unbeaten and untied. Though the first was an historic achievement of the highest degree and the latter, in contrast, a relatively simple event, both are accomplishments in which we may take pride and both demonstrate what can be done through dedication, cooperation and knowledge. Use every opportunity, in school and out, to develop these qualities. You’ll need them to face the challenge of the 70’s. Best wishes and good luck. A. W. Gordon A. W. GORDON, SUPERINTENDENT ADMINISTRATION TO THE CLASS OF 1970, The interest and concern of Chilton High School go with you into your life’s work. Your teachers are proud of you. They are confident of your ability and desire to contribute to society. We wish for you, as individuals and as a group, that happiness which comes to those who serve their fellow men. One should not minimize the magnitude of the problems which we all face today, but neither should one '‘undersell” the capacity of the intelligence of the disciplined mind. The major problems of our day are man-made and may be resolved by men of good will. 4 MELVIN DEY, PRINCIPAL
