USS CHILTON (APA 38) has been selected to receive the award of the Amphibious Force, U. S. Atlantic Fleet, Battle Readiness Plaque in Evaluation Unit A-2 for the year ending 30 June 1956. 2. Commander Amphibious Force, U. S. Atlontic Fleet, takes great pleasure in awarding the Bottle Readiness Plaque to CHILTON in recognition of the outstanding performance of the ship during Fiscal Year 1956. 3. Commander Amphibious Force, U. S. Atlantic Fleet, commends the officers and enlisted personnel of CHILTON for their efforts in attaining this aword. This achieve- ment reflects a devotion to duty and on attainment of standards which ore most creditable to themselves and to the Naval service. 4. Commanding Officer, USS CHILTON, is directed to make suitable notation and to place a copy of this letter in the official records of such officers and en- listed personnel of CHILTON as ore considered deserving in having contributed to the winning of the Bottle Readiness Plaque.
