FOREWORD Through this Chiloccoan, we tried to preserve many memories for the years to come. We, the 1969-1970 annual staff, have endeavored to capture the highlights of the 1969-1970 school year and present them in a memorable and rewarding fashion. We extend our thanks to Mr. Calvin Cowen and Mr. Carriasco McGilbra for taking group pictures for our annual. We also wish to thank Zack Slim for the fine artwork on the cover. We sincerely wish the graduating sen- iors of 1970 the very best in the future. We ask that the undergraduates please keep the traditions of Chilocco alive. May we always remember and be proud of our al- ma mater. DEDICATION We, the seniors of 1970, willingly ded- icate the 1970 Chiloccoan to Mrs. Carolyn Jamison in honor of her service to the stu- dents of Chilocco. Mrs. Jamison worked three and a half years at Chilocco as a din- ing room food service worker, and she has recently become a member of the Boys’ Guidance Personnel at the New Dorm. Her principle interests are sewing, watching television and traveling. She likes working with the students and knows Chilocco is a very good school. » a

ADMINISTRATION Dear Students: The Graduates of 1970 have many opportunities open to them and a high school education is more important now than it has ever been before. Graduation from high school shows a genuine desire by the student to succeed in life, and it makes possible a choice of the opportunity which best suits the grad- uate whether it is further training or em- ployment. Those of you who still have a year or more before graduation should take courage from knowing that soon you too will be completing high school. This is an achievement for which you will receive many rewards. It is my sincere belief that your class work and your participation in school activities can enable you to be successful in the post high school program you choose for yourself. Clarence W. I hope the students who return to Chiloeco and all the new students will work very hard toward making good high school records There are many ways we can improve Chiloeco as a school.
