Bill Huff congratulates Bill Rice in winning the All Around Senior honor. The boys toast at the fountain. Anne French tells Martha Benbow that she won the All Around Senior honor because in every way Martha is just so, even as her hair do is just so. Martha and Bill Typify C. H. S. For the first time at Chillicothe High, the All-Around Senior Boy and Girl were chosen. The idea for the award was conceived by members of the Arrow Staff. Each of the seniors in their civics class nominated one senior girl and one senior boy. Before they nominated a boy and a girl, they were asked to consider leadership, personality, and scholastic ability. Votes were cast and counted. The names of the seven highest boys and the seven highest girls were sent to the faculty. Their votes were tallied. . The three highest were Bill Huff, Montie Gates, Bill Rice, Eugenia Martin, Anne French, and Martha Benbow. Again the seniors in civics classes were called on to make the final choice. Those chosen were Bill Rice as All-Around Senior Boy and Martha Benbow as All-Around Senior Girl. Both were well-fitted for this honor. Martha, who came here at the beginning of her sophomore year from Columbus, won a Latin award from Ohio University. She was on the Student Council Constitution Committee, is a member of the National Honor Society, and is presently the secretary of the Student Council. Bill has gone to C.H.S. four years. He too was on the Student Council Constitution Committee, is an ex-officio member of the Student Council, and is President of the Senior Class. Both Martha and Bill won Quill and Scroll after three years on the Arrow staff. C.H.S. congratulates Martha and Bill and wishes them the best. PAGE SEVENTEEN
