Ae 1947 L rw XX nl SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS pg Q Pressdent Paul Summers S Vsce Pressdent Joe Donnells l 9 N Secretary Pat Ksng X 'X Treasurer Marslyn Msller Under the ssgn of Vsrgo sn T9-45 two hun dred seventy three gsddy lsttle freshmen made thesr debut at C H S These sensors of 1949 wsll never forget thesr fsrst year as green lsttle folks and all the embarrassments that went wsth that fsrst memorable year They had sust gotten used to besng called freshmen when there they were dsgnsfsed soph omores Then lo and behold they were sunsors and as lunsors were known as upper classmen gsvsng them the feelsng of besng quste old and maksng them overly proud In thesr lunsor year they presented the class play entstled A Date Wsth Judy wsth Dodse Sauer as Judy Beneath the zodsac ssgn Gemsns the Junsor Sensor Banquet rolled around and the lunsor class was well represented by Jerry Street Paul Summers Orchse Harper and Jack Earl sn thesr trsbutes to the Sensors of l948 After three long hard years of struggle they became those ever popular ever busy sensors of today Fsrst on the agenda as sensors was the foot ball team on whsch esghteen sensors played the captasn besng Paul Summers Jsm Gessells recesved honorable mentson as an All State Football player and Joe Donnells recesved the McCarthy award for good sportsmanshsp sn football Dursng football season came the Homecom mg Game and Patty Ksng was elected queen Her attendants representsng the sensors were Helen Peters Joan Drury and Lousse McClaskey They chose as thesr class offscers Paul Sum mers Joe Donnells Patty Ksng and Marslyn Msller The school paper namely the Mound Buslder had on sts staff seven sensors wsth Katse Gaston as edstor and the yearbook was edsted by Evelyn Walker and the sensors as ssstsng her were Dodse Sauer Patty Ksng and George Hockenberry In the msddle of Sagsttarsus a basketball season rolled around and there were fsve sen sors on the team Joe Donnells held the honor of besng captasn of the Blue and Whste Then Taurus the bull fMay 20D rolled around and wsth hsm came the Sensor Prom sponsored by the Sensor Trs Hs Y and Sensor Hs Y Thss event was held sn the C H S Gym The Annual Revue and Sensor Class Play came snto the pscture only to be overshadowed by the Junsor Sensor Banquet whsch the Sensors attended for the last tsme Before long Gemsns arrsved wsth the strasns of Pomp and Csrcumstance whsch to the 49 ers meant baccalaureate and commence ment exercsses to lsnger sn the msnds of thss years graduatsng class the rest of thesr lsves Thus ended four happy years at C H S whsch wsll never be forgotten by the Sensors of 1949 ek, f-xx H ,N Q,g, sc TX f . f for Xl u A x 1 .
