At Christmas Time an Operetta, The Christmas Waif, was given at which sev- eral of the parents were present. Through the efforts of the pupils in the Seventh and Eighth Grades, 108 new books were added to the library this year, Mr. Rife supplied hailf of the money and the pupils sold candy during the fall months to earn their share of the money. This has given the-m an added interest and sense of responsirbility for their library. The library How, we feel, is second to non-e in the county. The Seventh and Eighth Grade Room has regular periods for Physical Education for the boys and girls. The boys had a soft ball team last fall and played several games with other schools, they wo-n two games out 0-f three. 'They also -organized a basket-lball team. Although the boys lacked experience they were not beaten by any schools of the same enrollment, however, Walbash and Peru J.H.lS. each beat them twice. PAGE 29 if ,Fa SL S A 41 W?
