Warrior Band And Cheerleaders Promote School Spirit The C.H.S. Warrior Band was very active during the school year 1974. During the fall, members of the band performed at all C.H.S. football games as well as at a football game at Emory and Henry College. The band received a Division I Rating at the Bristol Band Contest in October. In April, the band received five D ivision I ratings at the District Solo and Small Ensemble Contest. The band gave several concerts during the school year and finished out the year’s activities by performing at Commencement Exercises. Members of the Varsity Cheerlead¬ ing squad were selected last spring. The cheerleaders boosted school spir¬ it by sponsoring pep rallies, a “Mr. and Miss School Spirit” Contest, student busses to away ball games and “Hat Day”. The cheerleaders attended a camp during the summer months. Majorettes shown above are Zeean Harris, Reginia Wil¬ liams, Connie Cregger and Sharon Whitely.
