Doug Reeves, PRESIDENT; Ellen Bonham, SECRETARY; David Ellison, VICE-PRESIDENT; Mitchael Blevins, CHAPLAIN; Golda Martin, TREASURER; Mike D. Blevins, REPORTER. CLASS OF 1968 MOTTO: Non est vivere est valere vita. (Not merely to exist, but to amount to something in life.) The 1967-68 Senior Class of Chilhowie High School was a very busy one with many varied activities. The year was kicked off with a very successful magazine drive, followed by a “Powder-Puff” football game, featuring the male members as cheerleaders. Excite¬ ment and pride were exhibited when the class rings COLORS: Blue and White FLOWER: White Rose finally arrived. However, many serious moments were observed too, such as talks with Mr. Herbert Bell, Counselor for the Mid-Appalachia College Council, Inc., concerning various scholarships, grants and loans. The year ended with a magnificent tour of our own State followed by . . . GRADUATION.
