0 evaluation committee have attended CHS during all of their school years. In 1965-66 only 7.3% of the students dropped out or transferred. This percentage was below the State average. Most adults in the community are in a middle-class income bracket, gaining their livelihoods either from farming, working in industries and building trades, as managers and owners of small businesses serving the community, or in the service occupations or professions. Quite active in the school and community life is the Parent-Teachers Association which makes a contribution toward the Senior trip, helps with the free lunch program, and aids various special school projects, such as the publication of the school handbook. Just as the patterns of behavior that char¬ acterize the student body are definite reflec¬ tions of the community, the school makes a definite and major contribution toward shap¬ ing the prevailing complex patterns of be¬ havior, as its graduates assume adult status.
