I Many clubs and organizations provide the l students with opportunities to express citi- i zenship and to prepare themselves to become : responsible citizens. The SCA, composed of all members of the student body, is the voice through which students may express their ideas and wishes. By working in this organization students learn to participate in the democratic process by ; nominating and electing members to the SCA | Council. During the year this group sponsored | assembly programs, school dances, clean-up | week, and a drive to help needy families at j Christmas. The main project was the publica¬ tion of a student handbook. Other organizations also have as their aims the building of character and citizenship. The FFA trains rural citizens, while the FHA j encourages good citizenship in the home. The t Hi-Y and Tri-Hi-Y seek to uphold high stand- ii ards of Christian conduct.
