The 1963 graduating class has the distinction of being the first class to graduate from Chilhowie High School under the five-year, twelve-grade system. For two years class miembers worked industriously selling maga¬ zines to make enough money to add Richmond, Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown to the annual Senior trip to Washington, D. C.
