Most of the boys and girls have had a pretty hard pull in this department, but they always got a kick out of it, just as the boys above did. The day has come when science plays a large part in the progres- sive fields. The stronghold of the nation is in the scientist's work shopg our means of subsistence depend largely upon the improvements made in agriculture by the scientists. It is a great work, and is characterized by intensive study on vital subjects of national interest. If such be the case, then we owe our scientists great thanks for their indispensable work. The training offered in this department is the basis for these studentsg and with it they can proceed along lines which lead to worthy achievements in the realms of scientific atmosphere.
