TlwCJOasSl-lsstosg In our short lsfetsme whsch at thss posnt seems to us anythsng but short we have seen uste a few Septembers These Septembers marked the begsnnsngs of new school terms, and t e magsc of September marked the begsnnsng and the end of our lsves sn Chsldersburg Hsgh School The begsnnsng was that fatal September twelve years ago when twenty nsne frsghtened ksndergarten graduates leavsng thesr sand boxes and dump trucks behsnd were snstsated snto a new world of school busses books, and lunches Those who made thss brave step were Carl Bean Patsy Bentley, Fsll Bush George Cosper Barbara Davsdson Carlos Davsdson Joyce Dobbs Loretta Dunn Tom Jeff Duvall Dot Gaston Wayne Gsddens Wsnky Gsddens, Joyce Gooden, Robert Harrss Daphsne Ksng, Patsy Lsmbaugh Sara Lsmbaugh, Jane Lyle Tommy Lyle Gayle Machen Bslly Maddox Mske McCaffery Judy Moody Claudsa Murphy Wslber Owens Fred Psckett Maxsne Reeves Barbara Rowland Connse Ssmmons Wayne Spradley, Roy Trucks and Edward Wsllsams Dursng the next three Septembers our class was sncreassng These three years had added Joyce Basley Lavaughn Basley Evelyn Bassett Perry Bowden Harold Bumgarner Annette Coleman Marslyn Collser Jsmmy Daffron, Faye Dobbs Mary Ellsson .gsly-Gilbert Glenda Ksdd Lynette Ksdd Mary Evelyn Kstchens Ronald Lake, Evelyn Lee, Larry McCarrsck Annette Mslls Larry Parsons Beverly Rogers Marcus Rogers Nola Ann Tyler and Robert Wsllsams to our lsst By the fsfth and ssxth Septembers we were begsnnsng to feel pretty sure of ourselves After all we were the oldest classes sn the grammar school' Those who sosned us sn these confsdent years were Allan Bachelder Bsll Kallenbach and John Wesson and resosnsng us after spendsng a whsle away Jane and Tommy Lyle Then came that long remembered September sn whsch we entered hsgh school Thss was our fsrst taste of changsng classes, lockers, and oh yes semester tests We rushed about, memorszsng schedules and locker combsnatsons and looksng up sn awe at the dsgnsfsed sen sors Jerry Brownsng Mary McCollum and Barbara McDonald losned us sn our happsness and our mssery, that year The next two Sepfeml-KEYS mC1rl4eCl the begsnnsng of our Freshman and Sophomore years Those who were added to our role dursng these years were Brenda Blanchard Jerry Boddse Morrss Forrsster and Barbara McCasn Beverly Rogers and Robert Wsllsams resosned us The followsng September marked the begsnnsng of our resgn as Junsors and what a resgnl There was the paper to publssh The Tsger Tales and a prom to sponsor Japanese Tea party wsth the cherry blossoms and lanterns and new formals By then Barbara McCasn re losned us, and we were almost burstsng wsth prsde over our accomplsshments Then came that most wonderful September of all the September that made us Sensors I Wsth the resosnsng of Allan Bachelder and Joyce Gooden our class was complete Our year began wsth a bang when we slspped on our beautsful class rsng The excstement of the rsngs had barely passed when we began plannsng the Sensor trspl We were Washsngton bound' Then there was Homecomsng nsght, class partses Sensor psctures, and most of all The Junsor Sensor prom and then the Sensor Play And fsnally came graduatson nsght for all of us Yes we graduated from dear old Chsldersburg Hsgh but not before recordsng all those wonderful memorses sn thss our year book the TIGER TRACKS of 1959! 23 O . .
