Finally plans were made for our class trip which proved to be worth all our efforts. And now, to our amazement we find that these are the things memories are made of. Wliaa 'Elootball O5 '56 Lynn Bloom places the banner across the shoulders of the queen. The third annual football- queen dance, s nsored by the Hi-Y, was helcrgn Saturday, September 29, I956. John Manbeck, President of the Hi-Y, served as Master of Ceremonies, and introduced Pati Van Art, football queen of l955, Lynn Bloom, Disc-iockey from W.K.V.A., and announced the results of the contest. Pati Van Art crowned Evelyn Sikorsky Miss Football Queen of 1956, and Lynn Bloom placed the Miss Football banner across her shoulders. - Mar Grace Dalb was Maid of Honor, and Margaret Parker and Betty Reese were her attend ants. The members oly the Hi-Y selected the candidates and the students attending the affair elected the queen. - The Chief Logan Seven with vocalist Gary Fultz provided music for the gala occasion. Many compliments were paid to our ver capable director, William Check, when the bond surprised audiences at the night X games with their new light routines. The band is active the year round. lt presents two onnual concerts and appears at many ofthe local Festivals and parades. This is Mr. Check's third year with us. Chief Logan was represented at this choral event by the people pictured at the right. Chief Logan is iustly proud of them. Within the music groups of our school is provided training that cannot be taught from textbooks, and we believe that these people who have participated in these activities will al- ways value the things they have learned here.
