,-- ' 'Q,,p'Q,,,Q,e !7s',2'53 lllIlllIAlIll Each year since the iointure of the Burnham and Derry School Districts, a greater effort has been made to ioin the students of the two schools in as many phases of their work and play as possible. Therefore we, the Senior Classes of l953, dedicate this first volume of The Legend to that spirit of co-operation which enabled the Indians and white men of old to become friends and which is today making it possible for the students of Burnham and Derry to work together and play together ina spirit of friendliness and good will. We leave our Alma Materwith the sincere hope that this spirit will continue until both schools are finally united in one new building which can offer the students of Burnham-Derry the greatest opportunities of a modern American education. .5 lg f'X U fs -49' r ,s f f- X , . xy 1 If . x ' 3 ' it E , 5 X '- i 5' Ti i ii- -
