Herbert E. Babb Dean of the College Dr. Herbert E. Babb, Dean of the College, serves as head of the entire academic program at Queens. He is in charge of admissions, finan- cial aid for students, maintaining new curricu- lum policies, and recruiting new faculty mem- bers. Dean Babb is personally involved with the student body through Advisory Board and campus organization presidents. Ann S. Gebhardt Dean of Students Serving as Dean of Students, Ann S. Gebhardt is involved in all aspects of student life. Her position encompasses the small and the large — from visiting girls in the infirmary and signing S.P.’s to assisting in the functioning of the student government. Edwin R. Walker Chancellor Dr. Edwin R. Walker officially took over his duties as Chancellor of Queens College after serving since 1965 as acting president. Ap- pointed by the Board of Trustees, Dr. Walker is responsible to the Board through the President and acts as advisor to the president. His main responsibility lies in fund-raising projects for the college. Dr. Walker has also been connected with the Queens Travel-Study Abroad Program. He has been granted a leave of absence from January 1968 to December 1968. 24 Dr. Walker makes introduction at Senior Recognition Day assembly. ■1
