A TIME TO GET ... As Freshmen we came a little scared, but anticipating what was to come . . . four years of growth for some . . . only a brief pause in the lives of others. In letters our F.A.C.’s had tried to tell us what Queens would be. The first day was crowded with strange faces . . . the game of ‘who do you know” . . . and a bare room unlike the one at home. For a brief moment we stopped to wonder what our years at Queens would bring. Later, a fashion show . . . a laughing bus ride to the shopping center . . . circes . . . 1 TIME TO LOSE . .. and “hi” from a girl we did not know made us glad we were a partJof Queens. We grew with the year. For the first time we realized professors were human ... in the classroom ... at faculty firesides . . . and at the Y-store. Strange voices would soon be familiar ones of people we would know well. The first year of confusion, wonderment, and fun was over, but three new years awaited us. Page Seven
