PANHELLENIC COUNCIL Panhellenic Council faced questions and problems by the dozen this year: Would the Panhel handbook ever get printed; and if it did, would the freshmen benefit from it? Would the council be accused of influencing the freshmen since they visited in the dorms and had one rushee ask how she could pledge Panhel? Would the so- rority girls pay eight dollars apiece for a dance even if their fiances were eight hundred miles away? Would Ray Charles bring the Rayettes? Would Ray Charles show up at all? Would Ray Charles . . . ? With Cynthia leading the group—in promoting more congenial relationships between sororities through having all members work together on the dance, the workshop, and rush rules—it had to be a job interrupted by gales of laughter.
