Council, elected by the student body, plans and directs the activities. Volleyball is the major fall sport and basketball the major spring sport. Other activities, such as golf, swimming, dancing, soft- ball, ping-pong, and shuffleboard, are offered throughout the year. Stunt Night and May Day are also sponsored by R.A. The purpose of the R.A. is to give ever ? girl the opportunity ot participating in a program of w hole- some physical activities, to promote recreational participation and accom- plishments, and to contribute to the development of the ideals of health and sportsmanship. At these informal meetings members read their own stories, poems, and sketches for the group to criticize and discuss.
