Thomason Wilkes Wilson [35] W H O’S WHO Sarah Prevatte The selection of students is by an impartial method. Requisites for mem- bership are character, scholarship, lead- ership in extra-curricular activities, and potentiality for future usefulness to business and society. [36] Louise Blue Helen Hendley Terry Mosteller Jane Gray I hese students are listed in the 1942-43 issue of Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. This book is published through the cooperation of over 600 American universities and colleges. These books are placed in the hands of companies who annually recruit outstanding students for employment. It is the only means of national recognition for graduates which is devoid of politics, fees and dues. The purpose of Who's Who is to serve as an incentive for students to get the most out of their careers; as a means of compensation to students for what they have already done; as a recommendation to the business world; and as a standard of measurement for students.
