Opportunity to hear the musical creations of great masters adds to the appreciation of the finer qualities of life and the community as a whole reflects this in better living. As good music contributes to greater happiness, so too, electric service assists in making our homes and places where we work, more convenient, more comfortable and pleasant. Electricity has no equal as a servant in the home. It is instantly available throughout the 24 hours of the day and works without complaint in performing various household tasks better and cheaper than they can be done in any other way. Electric cooking, water-heating and refrigeration are conveniences which previous generations could not enjoy but which, because of their low cost today, are widely used. Clean, safe electric lighting, radio programs and many other conveniences from electric appliances are luxuries common in the most humble home through the magic of electric service. Electric service means more than mere comfort and convenience. It means conservation of human energy, saving of time and labor, healthier families and better living for all. • Electricity is Cheap—Use More of It. • DUKE POWER COMPANY charlotte, n. c.
