And then the justice , In fair round belly with good capon lined, With eyes severe and beard of formal cut, Full of wise saws and modern instances; And so he plays his part. Stf The sixth age shifts Into the lean and slipper’d pantaloon, With spectacles on nose and pouch on side; His youthful hose, well saved, a world too wide For his shrunk shank; and his big manly voice, Turning again towards childish treble, pipes And whistles in his sound. Last scene of all, That ends this eventful history In second childishness, and mere oblivion, sans teeth, sans eyes, sans everything. These people worked to the best of their abilities to bring pride to the entire school through sportsmanship and truly great effort as teams. All these teams have succeeded in reaching this goal by playing each game cleanly and in the manner of true athletes. For this we owe them a debt that is insurmountable. Unfortunately, all we have to repay these selfless sportsmen and women with is our thanks. Donald J. Morissette Julie Marie Sittard We can’t help but look back at this year and note the full membership of the Class of 1971 has made an indelible mark at Chicopee Comprehensive High School. Seniors showed themselves to be a well-rounded group and certainly a credit to themselves as well as to the school. It isn’t very often an entire group of young adults coming from all walks of life is able to meld itself into a spirited flock of individuals, able to bear the fruit of understanding and accomplishment both academically and socially. The Senior Class contributed greatly to the school’s growth in all areas of endeavor. They gave freely of themselves and displayed a well-rounded quality of adulthood despite the turbulent times. They made it a happy year for us, one we will long cherish. Our sincere wishes go to the members of the Senior Class that their future may be bountiful in whatever road they travel. We know they will go out into the world much better people, not only for what Chicopee Comprehensive High School has offered them, but also for what they gave to the school to make this a bright and outstanding year. PEARSON 217 We would like to take this opportunity to express our appreciation to many people without whose help the publication of Memini 71 would not have been possible. First we thank Mrs. Rachel Shumway for not only guiding us but for coping with us. A great deal of gratitude is extended to Mr. Robert Grenier for his undying patience and most valuable advice. To Mr. Don Lendry, Represen- tative of the American Yearbook Company, we also extend thanks. A special acknowledgement goes to Mr. Jan Lessin for helping us out of many problems and also to all those who patronized Memini. Finally we, the 1971 yearbook staff of Chicopee Comprehensive High School would like to thank the Interna- tional Finagle Factor (otherwise known as manipulating) for making the pub- lication of this book possible. 220 1st Row: Coach A1 Vyce, Kevin Laflamme, Tom Landry, Jim Ash, Bruce Laudermilk, Row: Rene Grandmont, Pat O’Conner, Mike Barrows, Dennis Robert, Gary Fuselier, Co-Captain Steve Fergueson, John Zyla, Peter Zunis, Bob Watson, Mike Russel, Glenn Jim Bucfynkiewicz, Mike Lafleur, Alan Turcot, Tom Barker, Stan Kozik. 4th Row: Joe Capistrant, Jim Williams, David Dumais, Coach Bill Davis. 2nd Row: Erskine Palmer, Abramowicz, Mark Dansereau, Kevin Hundley, Mike Roy, Mike Whalen, Bill Sterlie, Roger Harrison, David McKissick, Roger Bergeron, Harry Pray, Mike Riley, Fred John Klofas, Randy Wright, Ernie LaRose, Larry Blanchard.
