After the rules and guidelines were addressed on the first day of class, l2 seniors remained. As yearbook staff members, our job was to record the events, actions, and reactions of the year. We have triedgtopcapture the '87-88 school year in a positive and different way. Weidecided to change the traditional layout of the yearbook and now it will be up to you to decide if our approach was a SUCCCSS. The school year really began for many of the students before registration. It beganjffor the cheerleaders in June when they attended camp, and for the football and volleyball teams when they began pre- season workoutsQ An organized registration for high school students was initiated by the new high school principal, Mr. Randy Cobb and our new counselor, Mrs.. Linda Lynch. Even though there were some changes that had to be made, the '87-88 school year began with ease. CHEERLEADERS posed with Chico's new Dragon Mascot, Tammy Buckner. Tammy, a senior this year, was chosen by the entire student body to represent Chico as the mascot. 4 STUDENT BODY seemed very attentive to the activities of this pep rally. Pep schedule was changed to 2:45 this year instead of 2:30. if

One highlight of the '87-88 pep rallies was the pie-eating contest the coaches voluntarily entered. Coach Wilson and Coach Langthorn, new to the district, really proved to be big eaters. We had always known Coach Greever and Coach May had big appetites! Y Ll DECIDE Owe 1-3 .Qmurlfh 4-16 fgyprgflig I 7-26 CAM 27-66 gm 67- 96 C6b4!Awdwm 97-122 Admmewm 123-144 3
