Debbie was liked by everyone because of her friendliness and sincerity. While attending Chico High, Debbie was a member of the F.H.A. and band, serving her senior year as band president. During her junior year, she received the john Philip Sousa Band Award. Her sophomore year she was homecoming queen candidate. The school and community called upon Debbie many times because of her outstanding art abilities. Nluch of her art work is still displayed at Chico High School.
