THE SENIOR STORY Thanks for the Memorues could well be the theme song for the class of 59 as they bud adueu to their never to be forgotten hugh school years In September of l956, today s Senuors first began theur hugh school lufe Thus was a new experuence for the shy sophomores but they began their furst year by showing a great deal of pep at both the rallues and games Chosen to lead the spuruted class were Presudent Jum Andruss, Vuce Presudent Jane Dawson, Secretary Lunda Wood and Treasurer Chrustue Myers Servung as Representatuves were Ann Roseman, Karen Slattery, Leo Beller, and Earl Stavas The year was fulled with many successful act uvutues, an entertaunung and unterestung Sophomore Assembly and a Sophomore Dance that wull always be remembered as one of the hugh pounts of the 56 57 year Durung their Junuor year came the class s chouce of a rung, a bousterous Junuor Senuor game and even more competutuon than before Once agaun the class chose a terrufuc crew of offucers to lead them Servung as Presudent was Leo Beller, assusted by Vuce Presudent Chrus Notley Keepung the secretary s book was Nancu Jessee and Barbara Barram kept track of the class s money The representatuves were Muckue Davus, Joy Andrews, Ken Brownell, and Jum Andruss The Junuor Prom, Wunter Centered around a theme of snowflakes, snowmen and Chrustmas, the Prom receuved one of the hughest votes of confidence ever Next came the Fashuon Show, Summer Da dream, followed by The Senuor Farewell Sayonorya The Junuor year was a tremendous success, ut was to be a great challenge to the Senuor year When a Senuor Gurl walks down thestreet The strauns of The Senuor Song floated across the gym on Sept 8 l958 At last ut was here the Senuor Year Theur class had contrubuted much to the school already but to add to thus, there were four great student body offucers seated un front Chuck Duncan, Student Body Presudent, Barb Barram, Vuce Presudent, Ann Roseman, Secretary, and Jum Gruffuth Treasurer The yell leaders were Emuly Haunes, JoEllen Schmudt Dorothy Morgado, and Chrus Myers The class offucers were Muke Foley Walt Newman, Muckue Davus, Sue Vaurs Class Representatuves were Bob Jefferson, Tom Tompson, Pat Lamphere, Sheula Chase The Senuor year was eventful from the standpount of socual functuons and events that made up the months from September to June Durung thus tume we can probably remember the hughlughts as the Senuor Dance, the Senuor Farewell, Graduatuon on June 4 i959 and the all nught party followung the commencement exercuses The three years at Chuco Senuor Hugh School have been eventful, un that we have grown and hope that the Class of 59 has helped Chuco Hugh grow a luttle durung thus tume II ' ll I I O O U . 0 . . . , . . . . - . . . . , .
