Since the price of materials has advanced so much in the last year we found it necessary to cut down expenses on our cuts. The only Way to do this was to have group pictures. Gur Qrganizations Editor, Archie McRae, decided to finish up his course in January and go to college, so his place was filled by Henry Azbill. ln about a month Henry resigned on account of his heavy course. This vacancy was filled by Charles Dellflarais. Qur Athletics Department has also gone through the same changes. .lim Costar, the Athletics Editor, left to join the Navy. The election of the head officers in the Spring gives them a chance to appoint their department editors and to make their plans for the book ahead of time. It also gives them the opportunity to get their material written up as it happens. Moreover, it makes the work easier to write up a little at a time rather than all at once as had been the custom. VVith all these points in its favor Why should we not always elect our Caduceus Editor-in-Chief and Business Manager in the Spring and give them a chance to put out as good a book as possible? wk is is :sf X Pk X :af In War times everyone is affected-the rich, the poor, and everything, even the Caduceus.
