FOREWORD Here it is! This is your 1955 Chick-Chat. ln this book we have tried to capture for you, the student body of Chickasha Senior High School, all the memories of the year 1954-1955: As you look through its pages, perhaps you can relive for a few minutes the football games, your favorite classes, Pep Club meetings and all the other things which we have done together. I, - - A.':L ' , 'ffffff' JL DY NIILL9 Editor OLR OWN SCHOOL FLAG' The 1dea of a Chickasha High School flag originated in the Student Council of 1954 it immediately took hold of the entire stu dent body A contest sponsored by the Stu dent Council was enthusiastically supported by the whole school The judges adminlstra tion faculty and students found It difficult to select one flag design from the many en tries It was decided that the one which you see here on this page would best represent our school s spirit traditions and high ideals Marlene Evans and Alice Lincoln two mem bers of the 1954- graduating class combined thelr ldC8S to design this our own school a It is made from our traditional colors purple and gold. In the lower right hand corner you see the torch a symbol of knowl- edge' in the upper right corner we have our Fightin Chick which to all of our com- petitors means Chickasha High School. When seen at all of our school gatherings, this flag will remind us of the many op- portunities that are ours as we attend Chicka- sha High School.
