During this last year We heard much tallc about the building OF a new junior-senior high school. Although we realize That we will not be pupils in this new school, We leave lcnowing that a greater Upper Chi is on its way. COUNTY CHORUS This chorus was formed for the purpose oi per- forming for the teachers at County institute held in Swarthmore in Cctober. Ten schools participated. The chorus sang a varied program oi secular and religious music. Mrs. Forwood directed a girls, number, I-loliday Song. Each number was directed by a diiierent music supervisor. Rehearsals were held at Sharon I-lill l'ligh School on various occasions. The active members representing Upper Chi were: Mary prendergast, Ruth Cressman, Lois Boel4enl4amp, Qlivia l-lill, Evelyn Field, George Chaplow, William Miller, Ralph l-ianby, Donald Coleman and Howard Major. DISTRICT CHORUS Southeastern District Chorus was held in Chester at the Smedley glunior l'ligh School building on February T6. The program was under the direction oi Mrs. Elaine Brown oi Temple University. Rehearsals were held on three consecutive Satur- days under the direction oi Mrs, Brown. The group participating in this event from Upper Chi was: Mary Prendergast, Lois Boelcenlcamp, Evelyn Field, George Chaplow, David Baugher and Donald Coleman. The students were entertained at a banquet in the dining room oi pennsylvania Military College.
