fl Ch! 7 if MW tifizif Wi Z Building Tradition Since Chicago Vocational is a comparatively new school, manv of the fine traditions in ex- istence here are, of necessity, based upon long standing customs that have seen their begin- nings in other halls of ivvn. It is our firm belief, however, that these customs have acquired a stamp of individualitv that marks them as defi- nite traditions of CVS. In addition to the traditions that have had their beginnings elsewhere, the Palace has dee veloped manv practices which serve to enhance our bodv of custom and make it outstanding. Because of the wide scope of activities in the fields of sports, curriculum and social life, manv presentations will be made that are completely' foreign to other annuals and other schools. VVhen finished, the canvas to be painted will be a picture which will portrav the very best of the past blended with the present to be awarded to the future.

It is entirely fitting that that tradition shoultl occupx' this place of honor in our picture hecausc it is perhaps tht- oltlesl custom which man shares with man. Years alter formal edu cation has ceased, the hencliits ancl happy memories ul the informal gaiety prevalent at such allairs is still apparent. The culmination of this actixity is, ol' course, the Senior Prom. After all the anxiety and nerxousness of preparation THE night finally arrives, and an atmosphere of social ma turity and gay fellowship pervades the air.
