Graduafzlfzg Class nf january I 51 Ours was the third class to begin its career at the Palace: we wide-eyed freshies came into the most beautiful school in the world in February. 1947, shortly after the Navy had withdrawn its forces. During our brief four years we have seen our comparatively new school triple itself in size. We have seen CVS rise to a point in scholastic standing as well as in athletics that has demanded the respect of all other Chicago High Schools. We have seen our shops and drafting groups compete in national as well as local contests and win many Sponsor M akinq. WILLIAM G. IUST--Cabinet awards. We have seen our Technician win the first place award in a national vocational contest. We have seen city championships won in basket- ball, wrestling, bowling, and golf. Our class has tried to do its small share in making CVS the greatest school in the country. In parting, we offer thanks to our faculty and administration for their help in making our tenure profitable and enjoyable and we trust that our hands at work will show future achievement worthy of their training. 1
