Vv' 'u 7 -. ,lHE lens seems to have caught our TECHNICIAN editor, GENE SCI-IATTENBERG, in an English class with MISS MCDADE in the Chappel wing, better known as Hogan's Allcy g AL BOBECK must be an English student too. MIK., ZULEGER ap- pears to be quite satishcd with the fender repair in progress, and MISS' LYON is obviously admiring AIKLENE ROGAI,.A,S advertising poster. The Com- mercial Art department has been more than helpful to this publication in lending an adept hand particu- larly in caricature. WARIREN PIETSCH, JOHN GRATKINS, and RICH CLEARY are in focus attempting to confuse Nlr. L. PETERSON with electronics problems. Cleary has published one successful article in his chosen field and has shown his versatility by amazing the audience with his fine singing voice as MC in the recently popular Variety Show. Our itinerant photographer presented us with Frankenstein and the Stinger as a result of a visit among Mr, Kuban,s Arc Welde1's. The twelve may indicate that they are cheaper by the dozen - we're confused too!

When you looked forward to four years of school attendance, it appeared to be a long time until you would be graduated from high school. That time has arrived and you are now looking back. It perhaps seems like only a few months at the most. You have had some successes and some experiences which were not so satisfying. You have made some friends, and now you can see where you failed to make some people more friendly toward you. It is now evident to you that upon looking back, things appear much different than when looking ahead. We are told by older folk that each year seems to be shorter. If we can accept this, and the swiftness with which your high school years have passed, perhaps it would be well ta, give serious thought to the future. Let us plan for the future as we plan an extended trip. We get r-an of the countryside to be eras 1 md we note the destina- riox.g :l-:P 've decide upon the 1.-ug ,. As we proceed with the trip, we may meet various obstacles which cause detours. However, the direction has been determined, and the destination set, so that progress continues. If we were to start without plans,'. there would be no way of determining whether we were progressing in the right direction or when we had arrived. Much reference has been made in poetic writing of life as a journey. So your life will pass as a journey. Have you set a goal? Do you know in which direction you should start to attain that goal? It might be well to re- member that the time will pass as your high school years have passed. The four years at C.V.S. have given you training which makes it possible for you to plan for and to live a most satisfying life. It is my sincere hope that each of you will use that training to attain a happy and successful life. CLAUDE H. EWING
