pkgifwaf L76!llCail0I'l LASSES IN Physical Education are conducted at the Jewish Peoples Institute to which the students of the Academy are granted a full membership Students attend gy mnaslum classes regularly once a week the girls on Wednesday morning the high school boys on Wednesday afternoon and the elementary school boys on Thursday afternoon The various 3CtlVlt16S participated in are swimming callsthenics and seasonal sports such as football basketball xolleyball and softball Opportunities are also afforded the students to play ping pong to wrestle box and gymnasium facilities during after school hours and over weekends Instruction at the Academy in health and recreation supplements the J P I gvmnasium program The course offered includes training in First Aid proper health habits nutritlon and physical fitness Sports tournaments and athletic contests also form part of the physical education program Besides these actix ities our school baseball basketball volley ball and tennis teams play against teams from boys clubs settlement houses parks and other schools 48 O O V ' . . weightlift .
