PU LIUHTIUIIS The rapid growth and achievements ol the EYES RIGHT is, in a way, a reflection ol the growth of CCO. Starting with a single mimeographed page, the paper has reached the heights ol being the best optometric undergraduate publication. The first EYES RIGHT editor For CCO was Leonard Drucker who held the post from December 1947 to August 1948. The post was then turned over to Norbert Kastner who continued to improve the paper during his one and a hall years ol editorship. Through his ehlorts, the publication became a member ol the Associated Collegiate Press which later awarded EYES RIGHT a First Class Honor Rating in a nationwide critical survey. In May 1950, upon Kastner's graduation, the paper was turned over to Sidney Grollman and Walter Zinn. Still it kept growing. New Features were added, the number of science articles was increased, a photo page was introduced, and the editorials became more stinging. The net result, alter one year, was that the Associate Collegiate Press bestowed upon EYES RIGHT the coveted All-American Rating which is the top award possible.
