BIOLOGY - ZOOLOGY Gulp! Today the zoology class takes up the anatomy of the frog. This and the study of all life in general are the topics studied in these classes. The need of more scientifically trained men and women and the importance of First-Aid in modern life has greatly increased the demand for these two subjects, The leader, Homo Sapiens, of these groups is Mr. Oscar COh-Ohl Hofstra.

AERONAUTICS This class was organized and launched by Mr. l-luibregtse, in September, 1942. Though small in size, the group is expected to swell greatly by next year, especially if the war continues. The original nine Cdirect descendents of the Wright Brothersl are expecting to become the World's future air genii. MECHANICALDR. With Americas clamor for more engineers, mechanical drawing is becoming more focused in the limelight. Drafting is one of the essential requirements for the study of engineering. The students learn to draw many objects for the pur- pose of blue printing and descriptive production work. The class is under the tutorship of Mr. Elko Van Dyke. ENGINEERS AND PILOTS

DOMESTIC SCIENCE At the present time our cooking and sewing classes have become more prominent than ever before, due to the war. Rationing has rnade it necessary for the present and future homemakers of America to develop their knowledge of the most essential and economical foods. The shortage of labor has placed an emphasis on the fundamentals of sewing. Christian High is very fortunate in having such an able in- structor as Miss Alllen, as head of the Home Economics depart- ment.
