ublic Affairs nik 'Q' mi 1C1 David R. Pennock Sedro-Wooly, Wa. FTMZ Phillip E. Pelland Abington, Mass. LTJG Nick Sabalos Springfield, Va. The Public Affairs Officer, LTJG Nick Sabalos, is in my opinion what every PAO should be-a dedicated and outgoing type :person who puts his job before everything else. He'll make a great 1650 next June. Dave Pennockyour broadcast engineer, is the work center supervisor in CCTV. Things ran so smoothly in CCTV during the deployment, Dave could hardly wait to hit Subic so he could get over to Mobile Technical Unit 13 and work on some genuine down gear. Dave's right hand man in the technician department is FTM2 Phil Pelland. We often refer to Phil as our Mad Scientist . It, seems he's always scheming up some type of electronical gadgetry. JOSN Ed Eviitchke came to CHICAGO in September of '78, and was one of my first I Division boots. Since then he has become a fine journalist who is ready to act as the ship's journalist aboard his next afloat command. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with these men on The Final Deployment of The World's Greatest Guided Missile Cruiser. They made the bad times good, the good times great, and the rough times smooth as glass. I hope never to forget them.-JO2 Mike Kochersperger 102 Mike Kochersperger Levittown, Pa.
