Foreign Students Add Sparkle To CIVIHS Campus Elizabeth Goue is a quiet young lady from Paris, France. She is presently residing with Mr. and Mrs . johnson, Anne Gulixson's parents. Elizabeth has finished High School and has taken the Baccalaureate exam, a very difficult one, required of all students planning to enter the University in France. She had plans to enter the University in Paris this fall but due to the riots this summer no applicants were admitted for the fall session. Her parents gave her permission to remain in the U.S.A. for a year if she cared to stay. She, accepting the offer of Mr. and Mrs . johnson to live with them While she was here, is now attending classes at C .M.H.S. She is taking government under Mr. Patterson and helps in the French classes . l ,O l Al-...t Renate Luy is a sophomore at C .M.H.S. She and her Mother arrived from Wiesbaden, Germany on july 19, this summer. She accompanied her mother here all the Way from Germany by boat. They came in answer to an advertisement of a job opportunity for Pierre and Eric's Beauty Salon, where Mrs. Luy is presently employed. Renate is taking Physical Education, World History, German, Geometry, English and Chorus . All the courses are accredited parts of her secondary schooling. Renate plays the flute but it is not the metal one We are accustomed to seeing. It is made of Wood and Renate plays it very Well. She said that she and her mother plan to stay in the U.S .A. for three years .
