IVIr. Archie Musick As students at Cheyenne move from building to building and classroom to classroom, their attention is drawn to the many impressive paintings that adorn the walls . These paintings and murals reflect the spirit of Cheyenne and the importance the school attaches to aesthetic values in the educational program. Mr. Archie Musick, a much respected artist and teacher, has been an important contributor to this outstanding art collection. Not only has he painted some of the scenes, such as the children's mural in Canon Elementary School, but also he has been responsible for the restoration and preservation of many of the school district's paintings. It is a great pleasure to dedicate this annual to Mr. Musick in appreciation of his contributions to the Cheyenne tradition. In a familiar pose Mr. Musick is hard at Work symbolizing 26 years of service at Cheyenne . 7

Junior Magazine Sale juniors that sold their quota---5530.00 or more. Prom---the Kiva Banquet--highlights of graduation activities! And who makes these possible? The junior Class with its annual magazine sale. For twenty-five years Cheyenne Mountain juniors have worked tirelesslyveach September to sell several thousand dollars worth of magazines, and for an equal number of years loyal relatives and friends have cheerfully signed on the dotted line for either new or renewal subscriptions. Begun about 1943 under the sponsorship of Miss Hazel Martin, the sale has grown steadily. For the past seven years, working with Mrs. Knutson as sponsor, the juniors have continued their successful campaigns, with the Class of 1970 selling well over 5300 dollars worth of magazines, the second highest total in the history of the school. As a result the seniors of the Class of '69 were honored in May with two outstanding functions, a beautiful junior-Senior Prom held at the Broadmoor ballroom, and the traditional and elegant Kiva Banquet at the new Antlers-Plaza, under the sponsorship of Mr. Yost, assisted by Mrs. Knutson. Our congratulations to the junior Class officers and representatives, and to every member of the class who worked to make the sale a success.
