Dedication as gg Q I d d' ' ' l k 'l ' am n e icating a year woo . at ass endeavors to erect a verbal monument to the amiable qualities of a teacher who has endeared gi himself to the members of the class and who. by his interest in a class E95 and help to it, has won himself a place in the memory of each of its members. E iz VVhen we first entered Cheverus, we learned that Latin was a Q compulsory subject. lt was with dread in our hearts that we walked E03 into our first Latin Class. After a few minutes, however, the genial N 23 witticisms of Father Corcoran. the teacher of this Subject. put us gQ5 entirely at ease and his skillful jests removed all fear from our hearts. EV Having been thus reassured we calmly undertook this study and soon 3 mastered the language of the ancient Romans. To Father Corcoran E05 we owe homage for his sympathy to us as fearsome freshmen. ggi Besides his duties as teacher of Freshman and Sophomore Latin, Ev Father Corcoran has taken other responsibilities upon himself as Q leader of extra-curricular activities. As faculty advisor of the Riding E95 Club he has shown his interest in the welfare of the members of our gg Q class. His interest in this society has long been the important factor KQQ which has maintained it. ln his position of coach of the Dramatic v Society he has further displayed his keen interest in our class. VVith- out his leadership and advice the existence of this society would E155 cease. VVith his leadership. the dramatic talents of many are bound together in the annual production of the Senior Class Play. gvm In dedicating this yearbook to Reverend Father George NV. Cor- Q coran, we, the class of 1941, endeavor to show our appreciation to him E95 for his interest in us, the interest he has shown as faculty leader of Q QQ the Riding Club and Dramatic Society, and to offer to him our thanks E05 for his understanding sympathy.
