artist VN This note to the 1959 graduates is, for all practical purposes, a hello as well asa good-bye. As you enter adult life, I hope you will realize that being an adult carries with it a great deal of responsibility. Our demo- cratic nation guarantees each of us certain inalienable rights. It also demands that each of us conscientiously fulfills obligations to our government as well as to our so- ciety. I need not spell out these rights or obligations. I merely ask that you be cognizant of them and allow them to help you make future decisions - realizing that we live in an imperfect world and that it is necessary to try to improve the world through change. In summary, I would like to call your attention to the sage words of a bygone poet: The blundering ages roll along, Each one intent on righting wrong, And each one leaving in its flight, 9 New wrongs for unborn men to right. 5 x DONALD L. DUNCANSON Xt - N Supervising Principal 2, wXvQ I Q is i SNK siisii t Jexxfgfbkds' As Guidance Director of the Chetek Schools it gives me a great deal of satisfaction and pleasure to extend to you, the Class of 1959, my congratulations! Isincerely hope that this year's guidance program has helped you in some way to fulfill the objectives you have expressed in your class motto. To find your anchorage will be one of the hardest tasks confronting you as new high school graduates. The transition from high school to additional schooling or work is not always an easy one. I hope that through the services offered you this year the change will be made with as little difficulty as possible. Good luck and success to each one of you in all you endeavor. DORRAN C. CELLEY Guidance Director
