CARL MAY Carl, who was noted for his odd laugh, hailed from Schells- burg. He took the Commercial course and could never be found without Don Horner. Or- chestra I, 2, 35 Band I, 2, 3, 45 Chorus l, Z, 45 Lion Staff 45 Snappy Stenogs 3, 45 Swing Band 3, 4. He enjoys hunting in his pastime and his future is undecided. HELEN MILLER Helen, was another one of our quiet Commercial students. Could always be found with her inseparable pal, Iulia. She enjoys reading a good book in her leisure time. Art Club 35 Chorus 15 Lion Staff 4. Helen plans to become a secretary after graduation. IOE MILLER Dusty, a quiet senior, was one of the males who took the Commercial course. Ioe was very shy, and blushed every time a girl looked his way. Ioe doesn't have any extra ac- tivities. He enjoys hunting as his pastime and likes to say, How I wish that bell would ring. Ioe says his goal is to qraduate. BENSON SHAFFER Benson, better known to the students as Ben also took the Commercial course. During the four years he participated in Band I, Z, 35 Orchestra 35 Chorus I, 25 Snappy Stenogs 3, 45 Lion Staff 45 Shawnee Echo 3, 45 Class Play 3. Ben's pet saying is What's wrong with you and in his pastime he enjoys driving a Ford. His future is undecided. Twenty Two CLASS WILL Carl May, will my Dodge to lack Deaner. Helen Miller, will my ability to keep quiet to Evelyn Benna. Ioe Miller, will my old beat up type- writer to anyone who Wants it. Benny Shaffer, will my ability to be a good salesman to Beverly Saylor. Nancy Slack, will my fur-lined camp- us boots to Gail Bowser. Donna Lee Weaver, will my place in band to the next alto-saxophone player that comes along. NANCY SLACK Termite, as she was called because of her shortness, hailed from New Paris. She took the Commercial course for four years. Her pastime is dating Ioe and can be heard saying You bumped your head. Snappy Sten- ogs 3, 45 Orchestra 25 Band l, 25 Swing Band Z5 Class officer l, 25 Shawnee Echo 3, 45 Lion Staff 45 Chorus I, 2, 3, 45 Chorus officer 4. Her future is undecided. DONNA LEE WEAVER Donna, was our little genius and the only senior who possessed red hair. She be- longs to the small set and could be found reading a book in her leisure time. Band l, Z, 3, 45 Band offi- cer 3, 45 Orchestra 1, 2, 3, 45 Lion Staff 45 Shawnee Echo 3, 45 Swing Band 2, 3, 45 National Honor So- ciety 3, 45 District Band and Orchestra. She plans to put her Commercial work to use by becoming a secre- tary for a private detective.

PHILIP IMGRUND Phil, one of those handy men, could be seen doing extra chores around school, just to get out of class. He took the Vocational Agriculture course during his four years of school. Chorus 1, Z, 3, 45 Boys' Quar- tet 3, 45 Band 1, 2, 45 P. F. A. 1, 2, 3, 45 Basketball 35 Base- ball 3, 45 Lion Staff 4. Phil's pastime is riding a motorcycle and can always be heard say- ing, That Makes Two of Us. His future is undecided. VIRGINIA LABUDA Ginny joined us her junior year and proved a great addi- tion to our class. Usually heard saying, I could have died. She likes to eat and read5 a nice combination. Orchestra 3, 45 Band 3, 45 Band officer 45 Chorus 3, 45 Lion Staff 45 Hon- or Society officer 4. One of our few academic students, she plans to go to college. HARRY LATSHAW Brownie, as most of his friends call him, hailed from New Paris, and took the Agriculture course. He had many activities during his four years of high school, but he still found time for hunting girls, which he says is his favorite pastime. Orches- tra 2, 3, 45 Chorus 3, 45 Boy's Quartet 3, 45 F. F. A. 1, 2, 3, 45 F. F. A. officer 3, 45 National Honor Society, 3, 45 National Honor Society officer 45 Lion Staff 45 Class officer 3. His favorite saying is Here Now. His future lies on college and cadets. DONALD MacGREGOR Don, took the academic course throughout his four years of high school. His pleasing smile and pleasant disposition will get him places. His pastime is dating Carol and his saying is Down Boy. Twenty One CLASS WILL Philip Imgrund, will all my girls to anyone who wants them. Virginia Labuda, will my ability to work for anyone who is lazy. Harry Latshaw, will my ability to get along with teachers, to anyone that needs it. Don MacGregor, will my ability to study to anyone who needs it. Ianice Manges, will my seat in P. O. D. class to Doris Mitchell. Patty Manges, will my cast to any- one who is unfortunate enough to have to have one. IANICE MANGES Ianice, better known to her friends as'Tootie, took the Home Economic course. LEE WENTZ Lee came to Chestnut Ridge from Bedford in his senior year. The general course was Lee's choice. Travel Club lg Camera Club 2, 3: Football 2, Radio Club 25 Track 3. His pastime is working on his train. He plans to ioin the Air Force after graduation. BLANCHE WERNER Blanche was the average size girl who likes to be seen and not heard. She took the Com- mercial course for three years. Snappy Stenogs 3, 4, Chorus l, 2, 3, 4. Her pastime is to read a good book. She plans to become a secretary after graduation. CLASS WILL I, Lee Wentz, will my red shirt to Mickey Colvin. ROSS WILLIAMS Bingham, the shortest boy of the senior class took the Voca- tional Agriculture course.
