WILLIAM GEORGE A happy-go-lucky guy, who could always see the bright side of life. You could always see him buzzing around in his Chevy when there was nothing else to do. Basketball l, 25 Chorus 45 Lion Staff 45 Shaw- nee Echo 45 Class officer 1. Bill's favorite saying is Holy Iumpin'. After graduation he wants to become a jet pilot. IULIA HERLINE Iulia, was a whiz when it came to drawing. She put her ability to work as Art Editor of the yearbook. Embroidering took up her free time. Commercial course was her selection. Lion Staff 45 Chorus l5 Art Club 3. She plans to become a tele- phone operator after gradua- tion. VINCENT HICKEY Vince, who enjoys driving a Chevy, took the Commercial Course, and enjoys saying Holy Mackeral anytime something is said. Chorus l, 2, 3, 45 Snappy Stenogs 3, 45 Lion Staff 45 Shawnee Echo 4. His ambition is to graduate cmd buy a new Chevrolet. LILA HILLEGASS Lila, is a girl with a pleasing personality and a smile for everyone. She can always be seen with Fay, Carol, and Vir- ginia, which make a happy foursome. She took the Com- mercial course. Her pastime is reading and collecting post- cards. Snappy Stenogs 3, 45 Band 2, 3, 45 Shawnee Echo 45 Lion Staff 45 Chorus l, 2, 3, 45 Chorus officer 45 Class play 35 Orchestra l, 2, 3, 4. After grad- uation she wants to go to Flo- rida and enjoy the warm cli- mate. Twenty CLASS WILL William George, will my excess weight to Ioe Miller, Iunior Class. Iulia Herline, will my ability to draw to anyone who accepts it. Vincent Hickey, will my ability to talk in class to Sonny Hillegass. Lila Hillegass. will my white bucks to all girls wearing black suedes. Dorothy Horner, will my dark hair, and dark eyes to Nancy Herline. Don Horner, will my ability to carry on in class to anyone who has guts to do it. DOROTHY HORNER Dot, our cute black-haired senior who took the Com- mercial course for four years. Her pastime is to lis- ten to a radio. Snappy Stenogs 3, 45 Chorus l, 2, 3, 45 Shawnee Echo 45 Lion Staff 4. To work in a bank is Dorothy's future goal. DONALD HOHNER Ichabod, is the mischievous member of the senior class, who took the Agriculture course. Baseball 3, 45 F. F. A. l, 2, 3, 45 Chorus 45 Lion Staff 4. He could usually be seen with Carl May. His fa- vorite pastime is visiting New Paris and the plans for the future are undecided.

ANITA DIEHL Anita was the girl to name when speaking of cheerful per- sonalities. Her pretty long hair was envied by many of her pals. Dating Don seems to be her favorite pastime. Snappy Stenogs 3, 4, Snappy Stenog officer 3, Class officer 3, 4, Chorus l, Z, 3, 4, Shawnee Echo 3, 4, Lion Staff 4. Anita's ambition is learn to cook. HARRY DIEHL Peck, a very quiet kid in class but not when he's with Ned. Harry took the academic course for two years and gen- eral for two years. Lion Staff 4, Shawnee Echo 4. Dislikes women and enjoys reading a good book in his leisure time. His plans for the future are undecided. CAROL EARNEST Earnie or Neeb was noted for her high C giggles. She dis- liked Literature and her pas- time is catching up on sleep lost while being with Dick. Carol took the Commercial course. Band l, 2, 3, 45 Orches- tra 1, 2, 3, 4, Lion Staff 45 Snappy Stenogs 3, 4, Band off- icer 3g Orchestra officer 4, Shawnee Echo 3, 4, Class play 3. Carol's future is undecided. MAXINE ELLENBERGER An attractive senior, Max dis- played a neat wardrobe of clothes. She dislikes writing letters but likes to read in her spare time. She took the Com- mercial course throughout her four years of high school. Snappy Stenogs 3, 41 Snappy Stenog officer 3, 45 Orchestra 1, 25 Chorus 1, 2, National Honor Society 3, 4, Shawnee Echo 3, 4, Lion Staff 4: Class officer 3: National Honor So- ciety officer 4. She plans to be an Air-line Hostess after grad- uation. Nineteen CLASS WILL Anita Diehl, will my ability to cow- boy a car to Faye Diehl. Harry Diehl, will my ability to keep quiet in class to Bob Benning. Carol Earnest, will my ability to cow- boy and drive fast, but always stay on the road without any wrecks to Ioan Otto. Maxine Ellenberger, will my temper to Abigail Miller. Ianet Emrick, will my seat in Litera- ture Class to anybody that likes Literature. Betty Lou Frazier, will my place in Home Ec. to Evelyn Benna. IANET EMRICK Ianet was one of the few girls who took the Home Economics course. Her fa- vorite pastime is driving a Chevrolet. F. H. A. l, 2, 3, 45 F. H. A. officer 4, Chorus l. Her future plans are un- decided. BETTY LOU FRAZIER Another one of our quiet Home Ec. students, Betts can usually be seen with Ianice and Ianet. F. H. A. 2, 3, 4, F. H. A. officer: Chorus l. Her plans after graduation is to go to Lan- caster.

PHILIP IMGRUND Phil, one of those handy men, could be seen doing extra chores around school, just to get out of class. He took the Vocational Agriculture course during his four years of school. Chorus 1, Z, 3, 45 Boys' Quar- tet 3, 45 Band 1, 2, 45 P. F. A. 1, 2, 3, 45 Basketball 35 Base- ball 3, 45 Lion Staff 4. Phil's pastime is riding a motorcycle and can always be heard say- ing, That Makes Two of Us. His future is undecided. VIRGINIA LABUDA Ginny joined us her junior year and proved a great addi- tion to our class. Usually heard saying, I could have died. She likes to eat and read5 a nice combination. Orchestra 3, 45 Band 3, 45 Band officer 45 Chorus 3, 45 Lion Staff 45 Hon- or Society officer 4. One of our few academic students, she plans to go to college. HARRY LATSHAW Brownie, as most of his friends call him, hailed from New Paris, and took the Agriculture course. He had many activities during his four years of high school, but he still found time for hunting girls, which he says is his favorite pastime. Orches- tra 2, 3, 45 Chorus 3, 45 Boy's Quartet 3, 45 F. F. A. 1, 2, 3, 45 F. F. A. officer 3, 45 National Honor Society, 3, 45 National Honor Society officer 45 Lion Staff 45 Class officer 3. His favorite saying is Here Now. His future lies on college and cadets. DONALD MacGREGOR Don, took the academic course throughout his four years of high school. His pleasing smile and pleasant disposition will get him places. Chorus 1, 3, 45 Boy's Quartet 3, 45 Baseball 1, 2, 3, 45 Class officer 25 F. F. A. 3, 45 F. F. A. officer 45 Lion Staff 45 Shawnee Echo 3, 45 Class Play 3. His pastime is dating Carol and his saying is Down Boy. Twenty One CLASS WILL Philip Imgrund, will all my girls to anyone who wants them. Virginia Labuda, will my ability to work for anyone who is lazy. Harry Latshaw, will my ability to get along with teachers, to anyone that needs it. Don MacGregor, will my ability to study to anyone who needs it. Ianice Manges, will my seat in P. O. D. class to Doris Mitchell. Patty Manges, will my cast to any- one who is unfortunate enough to have to have one. IANICE MANGES Ianice, better known to her friends as'Tootie, took the Home Economic course. She enjoyed writing letters as her pastime. F. H. A. 1, Z, 3, 45 F. H. A. officer 45 Lion Staff 45 Shawnee Echo 45 Chorus 1. Her plan for the future is to go to Lancaster. PATRICIA MANGES Patty, better known for her wise cracks and jokes. She took the Commercial course. Snappy Stenogs 3, 45 Chor- us 1, 35 Iunior Class Play5 National Honor Society 3, 4. Usually seen with Shelah, Rose or Blanche. Patty plans to be a secretary after graduation.
